Damen Island Scenic Area

Damen Island is the largest island in Dongtou, covering an area of approximately 29 square kilometers. It gets its name because the shape of the island features two mountains that resemble a gate. The Damen Island Scenic Area spans around 4.5 square kilometers, encompassing attractions on Damen Island such as Xiaojing Mountain, Turtle Rock, Couplet Rock, Dinghy Rock, Mayao Pool Beach, Guanyin Reef, as well as the bird islands of Nanpan and Beipan Mountains in the eastern part of Lüxi Island.

Here, crisscrossing mountains, rocks, and trees create a landscape dotted with peculiar stones. Migratory birds gather here in flocks, and the beaches are flat, with fine yet firm sand—perfect for swimming and surfing, as well as recreational activities like beach volleyball, offering a unique experience.
