The Zhou Clan Ancestral Hall is located in Zhouzhai Village, Fushan Township, about 25 kilometers from the county seat. It is a traditional quadrangle courtyard with three entrances and four enclosed sides. At the front is a stage, in the middle is the main hall, and at the back is the Yinglong Academy. The pillars are adorned with couplets expressing high hopes for descendants to achieve great things and bring honor to their ancestors—phrases that have become timeless classics and widely celebrated. Here you can see exquisitely carved wooden decorations and traditional house corridors within the ancient ancestral hall, offering a refined, tranquil atmosphere along with the charm of a traditional clan hall. The ancestral hall houses well-preserved genealogical records of the Zhou family, documenting generations of Zhou descendants.

The Zhou family moved to Fushan during the reign of Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty and built the Zhou Clan Ancestral Hall in the 11th generation. Within the ancestral hall, they constructed the Yinglong Academy to provide education for their children, encouraging the family to study diligently. The Zhou family has a long tradition of producing scholars, and even today, among the Zhou descendants in Fushan, there are two notable PhDs, including Zhou Songbo.

The Zhou Clan Ancestral Hall was first built during the Song Dynasty, rebuilt in the 53rd year of the Kangxi reign in the Qing Dynasty, and later destroyed by fire during the Taiping Rebellion. It also suffered damage during the Cultural Revolution. In recent years, overseas Chinese raised 1.78 million yuan for the reconstruction of the ancestral hall and the Yinglong Academy. Zhouzhai Village: Zhouzhai Village is located in the southeastern part of Fushan Township, about 1.5 kilometers from the township government seat. The average elevation is around 470 meters. The village administers three natural villages: Zhouzhai, Linzhai, and Aokou. It has a total of 415 acres of arable land and 8,219 acres of forested land. The village has 178 households with a total population of 698 people, including 370 laborers, 80% of whom work outside the village. There are 19 households with 39 people earning an annual per capita income below 2,500 yuan, accounting for 10.7% of the total households; among them, 2 households with 4 people earn less than 1,500 yuan per capita...
