Xiaozhou Mountain boasts stunning scenery. The industrious and wise ancestors of Xiaozhou Township created over 4,000 acres of terraces, with more than 500 levels stretching from the mountain foot to the summit. Built along the contours of the hills, these terraces are grand in scale and majestic in presence, making them one of the best-preserved terraces in southern Zhejiang. In the sunny days of March, rapeseed flowers bloom vibrantly across the mountains; in the warm early summer, the terrace water surfaces mirror the fresh rural charm; in the cool autumn, golden rice ears and colorful rice fish convey the joy of harvest; in the chilly early winter, the snow-covered terraces display graceful beauty; on rainy days, mist shrouds the landscape in a dreamy veil; on sunny days, the sweeping views showcase their majestic presence. The Xiaozhou Mountain terraces form a distinct terraced belt shape, descending from high to low, combining grandeur with delicacy. The terraces are densely packed, retaining their primitive forms, with crisscrossing paths and smooth lines. Xiaozhou Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Qingtian County. Established in 1949, it was reorganized as a management area in 1958, changed to a commune in 1961, and restored to a township in 1983. Located in the eastern part of the county, it covers an area of 24.8 square kilometers with a population of 8,000. There is a road leading to Xiaozhou Mountain Village, and another road from Huangyuanping Village to Yongjia Qiaotou Town. It administers ten village committees: Zhengshan, Kuishan, Dingkeng, Huangyuanping, Xiaozhou Mountain, Baiyantou, Zhuangtou, Shangshanlu, Xiping, and Pingfenglong.
