The Longyou Folk House Garden is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, located on Jiming Mountain in the southern part of Longyou. It is one of only two demonstration sites in China approved by the National Cultural Heritage Administration for the relocation and preservation of historical buildings, and is also a national key cultural relics protection unit. Established in 1991, the garden has so far relocated over 65 ancient buildings from the Ming, Qing, and Republican periods, including ancestral halls, family temples, residences, academies, pedestrian overpasses, stone pavilions, screen walls, and stages. Additionally, new antique-style structures have been built within the garden, such as the main hall, cultural relics storage, memorial archways, shops, waterside pavilions, water stages, and covered bridges. These buildings are the crystallization of the wisdom of the ancient laboring people of Longyou and serve as a testament to the glorious history of the Longyou business community. The scenic area regularly hosts intangible cultural displays and folk performances, including dragon and lion dances, She ethnic group engagement ceremonies, rice paper-making demonstrations, and Wu Opera shows. With its beautiful environment and rich cultural heritage, the site has been awarded titles such as Research Base for Chinese Business Culture, Top Ten Grassroots Cultural Demonstration Bases in Quzhou, and Former Residence of the Longyou Business Community. It is a new cultural attraction that integrates “cultural relics preservation, tourism, academic research, and patriotic education.”
