The Longyou Lou Shang Ting Building

The Longyou Lou Shang Ting Building is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Zhejiang Province.

The Longyou Lou Shang Ting Building is located in Tashi Town and Hengshan Town, Longyou County, dating back to the Ming Dynasty.

In Longyou, there is a type of residential architecture referred to as the "Lou Shang Ting" (Upstairs Hall). It features relatively low ceilings on the ground floor and more spacious, open areas upstairs. The lower levels have simple carvings, whereas the upper floors are richly decorated, often used as reception and banquet spaces, reflecting a relatively high architectural standard. The Lou Shang Ting represents an evolution and development of stilt-style architecture and also boasts distinct local characteristics, making it a cultural heritage asset.

On January 7, 2011, it was designated as part of the sixth batch of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units.
