【Muchen Pagoda】

Muchen Pagoda is situated on Leifeng Mountain in Muchen Village, Muchen Township, about 23 kilometers south of the county town. Its construction date is uncertain, but its design suggests it was built during the Ming Dynasty. It is a hollow, hexagonal seven-story brick pagoda. The section above the seventh floor was destroyed by lightning, leaving a remaining height of about 13 meters. The walls are 1.15 meters thick, and the base, or Sumeru pedestal, is constructed from thick rough-hewn stone slabs laid flat. The shape resembles a hexagonal column, and the entire structure is built with solid blue bricks measuring 25×13 centimeters, tapering significantly from top to bottom. Starting from the second floor, each side of every level features arched false doors. Each false door is flanked by ?? columns. The first floor has a 10.42-meter-wide and 1.45-meter-high arched entrance on the southeast side for entry and exit. In July 1986, it was designated as a county-level cultural relic site.
