The Changxing Archives is a patriotic education base.

The Changxing Archives is located on the east side of the Civic Culture Square in the Administrative Center of Longshan New District, Changxing County, adjacent to the county library and the Urban Exhibition Hall, covering an area of 50 mu. In 2013, it was designated as a “Zhejiang Provincial Patriotic Education Base.”

The Changxing Archives has four floors, with the main building covering a construction area of 7,000 square meters. The facility is fully equipped with basic infrastructure, and its exhibition areas feature a combination of permanent and temporary, static and dynamic displays. It includes storage rooms for exhibits, exhibit production and processing rooms, permanent exhibition halls, multimedia audiovisual rooms, and audiovisual archives viewing rooms. The venue is outfitted with a full range of audio, visual, and lighting display technologies, including electronic touchscreens that allow visitors to independently select and view electronic materials of interest during their visit. The exhibitions also include a large amount of valuable revolutionary historical material, as well as old photographs, calligraphy and paintings by notable figures, sculptures, and more. The space is capable of hosting a variety of functions such as lectures, interactive discussions, and speech competitions.

The Changxing Archives hosts no fewer than six exhibitions annually, organizes one on-site teaching session per year focusing on revolutionary history for the public, holds two adult on-site teaching sessions on patriotic education themes, regularly conducts on-site teaching activities on scientific and cultural knowledge, and arranges quarterly on-site patriotic education activities for all primary and secondary school students in the county. On average, it receives over 40,000 visitors annually, with a peak daily attendance of up to 5,000 people.
