Ruins of the High Gate Tower

The ruins of the High Gate Tower are a protected cultural heritage site of Changxing County.

The ruins of the High Gate Tower are located in Gaomenlou Natural Village, Shiyi Village, Lincheng Town, Changxing County. They date back to the Neolithic Age and are classified as an ancient site.

In May 1961, the ruins of the High Gate Tower were designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit.

Shiyi Village: Introduction to Shiyi Village

The village administers 22 natural villages, 43 contracting groups, 1,020 households, and 3,703 residents (including 2,430 laborers), with 89 Party members. It has a cultivated land area of 7,792 mu (including 7,198 mu of paddy fields), 5,000 mu of forested land, and 1,010 mu of fish ponds. It is known for its abundant quartz stone resources, and its diverse landforms have contributed to a rich variety of agricultural products. In 2009, the per capita net income of farmers was 12,190 yuan, and the village collective economy generated 2.2613 million yuan in income.
