Taicang Modern Agriculture Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Taicang City Modern Agriculture Exhibition Hall is located within the Taicang Modern Agriculture Park, covering a total area of 6,000 square meters. The hall is equipped with advanced temperature control, ventilation, and shading systems to ensure the effective supply of sunlight, water, and nutrients. The winter temperature can be maintained above 10°C to meet the year-round growth needs of various plants inside the hall.

The hall is divided into four themed areas, each with its own distinctive ambiance: the Cascading Rockery, the Waterside Pavilion Platform Corridor, the Tianyuan Di Fang (Heaven-Round-Earth-Square) Bridge, and the Yuehu (Moon Lake) Eggplant Grove. A water system running east to west connects the four scenic areas harmoniously. The hall features 30 uniquely decorated private rooms. In addition to some that use wooden structures, there are also natural greenhouses and herb rooms enclosed by various flowers and fragrant herbs, where visitors can enjoy tea, relax, and engage in leisure activities.

The hall showcases a variety of high-tech agricultural cultivation techniques. For example, vertical farming makes full use of greenhouse space and solar energy, improving land utilization and the efficiency of greenhouse facilities; hydroponics (nutrient solution cultivation) offers advantages in intensification, scale, and precision; pipe cultivation has become popular for balcony and rooftop agriculture due to its simplicity and cleanliness; and the liquid-gas storage potting technology effectively balances the solid, gaseous, and liquid elements around plant roots, resolving the conflict between root-zone nutrient and oxygen supply in soilless cultivation. These new technologies include multiple patents and are displayed in various ways in the hall, allowing visitors to experience the charm of modern agriculture.

The exhibition hall has introduced over 300 kinds of novel, unique, and special plants. These include giant pumpkins weighing two to three hundred pounds and nearly one meter in diameter; tomato trees several meters tall with canopies over ten meters wide; and “touch-me-not” herb, which is odorless until touched and can be used to make tea or wine to relieve sore throats and stomach bloating. These agricultural products are carefully selected for their ornamental value and enhanced through modern cultivation techniques for strong practicality, offering a sense of novelty and even amazement. The park also grows many tropical fruit trees rarely seen in the region, such as bananas, papayas, and wax apples. This allows visitors to broaden their horizons and gain knowledge while enjoying leisure and recreation.

In addition, the hall provides leisure services such as tea and snacks; it also supplies green, pollution-free vegetables and other agricultural products; and offers modern agricultural technology services and outputs.
