Linze Xinglong Pawnshop

The Linze Xinglong Pawnshop in Gaoyou is located in Linze Town, Gaoyou City. Built in the mid-Qing Dynasty, it is one of the discovered pawnshop relics in Gaoyou’s towns.

It is said that the Linze Xinglong Pawnshop was built in the mid-Qing Dynasty, and its architectural layout has not undergone major alterations. Nearly two-thirds of the buildings remain largely intact.

In June 2010, it was designated as a Gaoyou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

In March 2019, it was listed as part of the Eighth Batch of Jiangsu Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Linze Town is under the jurisdiction of Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province. It is located in the northeast corner of Yangzhou, an ancient city in the Yangtze River Delta, at the junction of Gaoyou, Baoying, and Xinghua counties (cities). It governs 18 administrative villages, 3 neighborhood committees, 1 aquaculture farm, and 237 village (residential) groups. The town covers an area of 118.1 square kilometers with a total population of 67,000.
