The Former Residence of the Ren Family in Linze

The Former Residence of the Ren Family in Linze is located on Zhongda Street in Linze Town. It is a residential building constructed in the early Qing Dynasty, originally used as a grain business by the Ren family. Its interior architectural style and the openwork carvings on the beams and columns are quite representative in the Li-Xiahe region of northern Jiangsu.

In March 2019, the Former Residence of the Ren Family in Linze was included in the eighth batch of Jiangsu Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Linze Town is under the jurisdiction of Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province. It governs 18 administrative villages, 3 neighborhood committees, 1 aquaculture farm, and 237 village (neighborhood) resident groups. The area covers 118.1 square kilometers, with a total population of 67,000.
