Former Residence of Chiang Wei-kuo

The former residence of Chiang Wei-kuo in Nanjing covers an area of 714.4 square meters and consists of 22 rooms totaling 566.7 square meters, including five two-story garden-style buildings constructed with brick, wood, and concrete, one garage, two kitchens, and three toilets. The residence is located at No. 15 Putuo Road. Chiang Wei-kuo (1916–1979), from Fenghua, Zhejiang, was the second son of Chiang Kai-shek. He once served as the commander of the First Tank Regiment. The building at No. 15 Putuo Road was constructed before 1937 and was purchased for Chiang Wei-kuo with funding from Guo Shaolan.

Chiang Wei-kuo’s other residence is located at No. 13–1 Yongqing Lane. It is a 115-square-meter garden-style Western-style house built in 1948 when he served as the commander of the Tank Regiment, registered under his wife Guo Qicheng’s name. This residence also features a two-story Western-style building with ten rooms constructed with brick, wood, and concrete, along with a single-story Western-style wing with two rooms, totaling 12 rooms and covering an area of 221.3 square meters. It is currently used by relevant departments in Jiangsu Province.
