Victory of Crossing the Yangtze River Monument
The Victory of Crossing the Yangtze River Monument is a classic site on China’s red tourism routes.
Introduction Located in the center of Rehe Road Square in Xiaguan, it was built in 1979. From a distance, the entire monument resembles a battleship riding the waves. The front of the base is inscribed with a handwritten inscription reading “Victory of Crossing the Yangtze River Monument,” while the back bears Mao Zedong’s calligraphy of the poem “Seven-character-regular-verse · The People's Liberation Army Captures Nanjing.” Transportation Accessible via Tourist Route 4 and bus lines 12, 16, 18, 31, 32, 34, and 39.
