Jinling Union Theological Seminary is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Jiangsu Province.

Jinling Union Theological Seminary is a national Protestant theological seminary in mainland China, located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. It derives its name “Jinling” from the ancient name of Nanjing. The seminary covers an area of 30 urban mu, with a built-up area of 9,000 square meters. As you step through the main gate of the seminary, you are enveloped in its grand and solemn atmosphere. Walking along the main pathway inside the campus, the first thing that catches your eye is the teaching building that integrates a chapel, classrooms, and faculty offices. This time-worn building has witnessed the seminary’s glories and challenges over the past 50 years.

Passing through the administration building, you’ll find the college library, which is equipped with a multi-functional basement. The library houses a collection of over 60,000 books in Chinese and foreign languages, as well as more than 100 types of Chinese and foreign periodicals, mainly covering materials on biblical studies, theology, church history, and philosophy. Exiting the library, you’ll see a five-story student dormitory building, which not only features comprehensive living facilities but also includes a —— for students and a prayer room. The library itself includes a general reading room (for reference books and periodicals), an electronic reading room (for e-documents and internet access), stacks for Chinese and foreign language books, and a multi-functional hall on the ground floor, used for academic lectures and audiovisual teaching.
