Jiangsu Science and Technology Museum

The Jiangsu Science and Technology Museum is a science education base.

The Jiangsu Science and Technology Museum (formerly known as the Jiangsu Science Palace) is situated at the base of the 318.5-meter-tall Jiangsu Nanjing Radio & Television Tower by the Qinhuai River in the western part of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. It neighbors the picturesque Gulin Park and the Shuimu Qinhuai Scenic Belt. Built on the tower’s foundation and designed and constructed according to modern science museum principles, the Jiangsu Science and Technology Museum is a comprehensive science museum. It is affiliated with the Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation, with a total construction area of 13,586 square meters and over 6,000 square meters of permanent exhibition space.

As an important national and provincial-level science education base and a provincial-level patriotic education base, the main functions of the Jiangsu Science and Technology Museum include science exhibitions, technology activities, scientific experiments, science training and exchanges, production of science exhibits, and provision of educational film and information services. It serves the public by disseminating and popularizing scientific knowledge, fostering creativity among young people, and enriching spiritual and cultural life.

The museum features five major thematic exhibition areas: Science & Wisdom, Exploration & Discovery, Ecology & Home, Digital & Information, and Life & Health. It displays nearly 200 sets of science exhibits, along with a science theater, 4D dynamic cinema, laser theater, experimental area, youth science and technology innovation park, and temporary exhibition halls. The interior design reflects a stylish and vibrant modern atmosphere, and the exhibits combine scientific, educational, entertaining, and interactive elements, representing an organic fusion of science and art.

Transportation: Take bus 302 and get off at Shitoucheng North Station within Nanjing city; or take buses 45, 47, 66, 72, 73, 170, or Tourist Line 4 and get off at Jiasheng Huayuan Station, then walk south along Shitoucheng Road to reach the museum.
