The Nanjing Audit University Museum is a directly affiliated institution of the university. The museum's work is aligned with and serves the university’s educational needs, serving as an important component in establishing a high-level, distinctive, and renowned academic institution. Guided by the principles of "sharing knowledge, disseminating culture, practicing education, and serving society," the museum provides a platform and support for academic development, talent cultivation, and cultural heritage. The museum houses an Academic Committee, an Office, Exhibition Rooms, General Education and Research facilities.

Located on the Pukou Campus of Nanjing Audit University, the museum consists of two branches: the Audit Culture and Education Museum and the Currency Museum. It is a professionally distinctive museum established by Nanjing Audit University. With a total construction area of 2,200 square meters, the museum relies on the university’s provincial-level key discipline, “Audit Science and Technology,” and is committed to researching and promoting audit culture, as well as inheriting and leading audit education. It has become an important base for audit vocational education, integrity culture and patriotic education, the popularization of humanities and social sciences, general education on audit and currency culture, and a key vehicle for campus cultural development.

Since its establishment in 2007, the museum has exerted a cultural influence and served as a flagship representation of the university’s audit focus, achieving notable social impact. To date, the museum has received over 100,000 visitors from both China and abroad, including Auditor General Liu Jiayi, Vice Minister of Education Du Yubo, space hero General Fei Junlong, as well as international guests such as South African Auditor General Thembekile Kimi Makwetu, audit heads from 27 African nations, and the Korean Board of Audit. It has also hosted guests from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Media outlets such as Guangming Daily, China Audit News, Jiangsu Xinwen Daily, Friends of Accounting, China Jiangsu Net, and Longhu Net have reported on the museum’s efforts in promoting audit culture, highlighting the university’s unique features, and fostering cultural education, generating widespread positive social feedback.

The museum fulfills its role as a general education base, providing a platform and support for talent cultivation and campus cultural development. In recent years, the museum has established an Academic Committee to comprehensively guide its development planning, general education initiatives, and academic research. It offers general education elective courses such as "Audit Culture and Education," "Cultural Economics," "Archaeology and Cultural Relics Appreciation," and "Currency Culture." Through on-site teaching within the museum and experiential, interactive teaching methods, the museum embodies the idea of literature as a vessel of values and culture as a means of shaping individuals. The museum has also formed a student volunteer guide association and organized a series of events such as the "Audit Culture Festival," the Audit Culture Masters Forum, and national conferences on outstanding audit professionals’ achievements, thereby supporting talent development. Via diverse practical activities such as Museum Open Days, recitations of classical Chinese texts, guide performance showcases, student party days, and league days, the museum realizes its function of cultural education. It was awarded the Third Prize for Excellent Achievements in National University Campus Cultural Development by the Ministry of Education in 2013.
