Former Residence of Cheng Ji’an
The former residence of Cheng Ji’an is located at No. 39 Shuizuogang, Gulou District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province.
The building at No. 39 Shuizuogang was purchased by Cheng Ji’an in his wife Ren Shouqing’s name. Construction began in the first half of 1937. It is a brick-concrete structure in a Western-style garden design. The first floor features an interior corridor, while the second floor has a spacious balcony. There is one two-story Western-style house with nine rooms, one single-story Western-style house with two rooms, as well as a basement, bathrooms, kitchen, utility rooms, and more, totaling 19 rooms. The property covers an area of 2,541 square meters, with a built-up area of 537 square meters.
