The property covers an area of 3,123 square meters, with a total built-up area of 537 square meters. The main building faces south and is built with a brick-and-wood structure. It features a beige textured exterior wall, a gabled roof, red tiles, dormer windows for lighting, and fireplaces inside. The entrance gate is arched, and not far from the front of the building stands a circular cement fishpond, about 60 square meters in size, with a bilateral design. Part of the second floor of the main building is decorated in a Japanese style. It is said that the younger brother of the Emperor of Japan once resided here.

This official residence was originally owned by Chen Zhuo, head of the Capital Police Department of the Republic of China, and was constructed in 1934. It was later occupied by Wang Shijie, Minister of Education and then Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Nationalist Government. Currently, it serves as the residence of a certain cadre of the Nanjing Military Region.

In 2006, this official residence was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site protected in Nanjing.
