Former Residence of Zhang Zhonglu

The former residence of Zhang Zhonglu is located at No. 7 Yihelou, Gulou District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province.

The building was constructed in 1935, with a total floor area of 341.2 square meters. It features a modern architectural style and includes one two-story building with 13 rooms, as well as three sections of modern-style single-story houses totaling five rooms. The structure is built with a brick-concrete frame, has blue walls, and a red roof.

Zhang Zhonglu (1895–1968), courtesy name Guangyu, was a native of Gongyi, Henan Province.

In the seventh year of the Republic of China (1918), he went to the United States to study at the Colorado School of Mines, where he earned a bachelor's degree, and later pursued graduate studies at Columbia University’s Business School.

In 1923, he returned to China and served as the president of Jiaozuo Fuzhong Mining University.

In 1927, he went to Shanghai to participate in the National Revolution, and in 1931, he became the president of the school again.
