The former residence of Huang Xiuqing is located at No. 11 Chibi Road, Gulou District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province.

The building was constructed before 1935 in a Western modern architectural style. It consists of one two-story building with 12 rooms and one single-story section with 4 rooms. The walls are gray and the roof is blue-green. Originally owned by Huang Xiuqing, it was later inherited by his wife, Yuan Yunqin.

Huang Xiuqing, born in the 24th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1898), was a native of Wuxi County. In the 8th year of the Republic of China (1919), he graduated from the Department of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at the Shanghai Industrial College of the Ministry of Communications, earning a bachelor's degree. He later pursued further studies at the Beijing Postal School. In the same year, he worked in the telecommunications departments of Shanghai, Tianjin, Nanjing, Shenyang, and Harbin, engaging in engineering technology and management related to wired telecommunication. During this period, he visited Germany, the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom for technical cooperation.
