Chen Cheng's former residence is located at No. 10 and 10-1, Putuo Road, Gulou District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province.

The building was constructed before 1937 in a Western modern architectural style, featuring one two-and-a-half-story building with 10 rooms and four rows of single-story houses totaling 9 rooms. The walls are light gray and the roof is red. It was originally registered under Chen Cheng’s name Chen Cixiu. Before the liberation, Chen Cheng’s younger brother Chen Zhengxiu lived here, and after the liberation, it was used as a nursery directly under the Third Field Army. It is now owned by the Municipal Real Estate Management Company.

Chen Cheng (1898–1965), courtesy name Cixiu, childhood name Dexin, also known as Shisou, was from Gaoshi Township, Qingtian. After graduating from his hometown's Yangzheng Primary School, he attended the Provincial No. 11 Normal School in Lishui. In 1918, he transferred and was admitted to the Provincial Physical Education School, graduating after just one month. Coincidentally, his father’s old friend and fellow townsman General Du Zhiyun was elected as a member of parliament and offered to help. Using a diploma from Chuzhou Middle School, Chen Cheng impersonated someone else to apply for the Baoding Military Academy but failed due to poor grades. After Du Zhiyun interceded with the examiners, he was admitted as a preparatory student to the artillery department of the 8th class of Baoding Military Academy.
