Ink on Paper Folk Culture Park

The "Ink on Paper" Folk Culture Park is a new-style rural tourism complex jointly developed by Shenzhen Shengpengda Tourism Investment Group, the Jiawang District Government of Xuzhou City, and several domestic professional institutions. This project was introduced by the Jiawang District Government as an investment attraction initiative during a critical period of urban economic transformation aimed at creating a tourism-driven city. After six months of negotiations between the leaders of the Jiawang District Committee and Shengpengda Group, a cooperation agreement was officially signed in January 2016, with construction commencing in March 2016. The total investment for the project is 150 million yuan.

The overall planned area of the "Ink on Paper" Folk Culture Park covers more than 1,000 acres. The first section of the project occupies over 300 acres, including the Old Town Impression Area and the Farming Experience Area; the second section spans over 400 acres, featuring the Ming-Qing Market, Republican-Era Nostalgia, and Ancient Village Scenery; the third section covers over 600 acres, focusing mainly on agriculture and organic farms.

Guided by the principles of efficiency, rapid construction, and early operation, the "Ink on Paper" Folk Culture Park project plans to open the first section to visitors for operation in mid-May 2016; the second section will be opened to visitors in August 2016. The first phase of the project will officially open on October 1, 2016, with full completion and operation scheduled for 2018. Once operational, the project is expected to effectively boost local entrepreneurship and employment opportunities, creating over a thousand job positions and forming a tertiary service industry economic cluster.

The completion of the "Ink on Paper" Folk Culture Park project will create another golden calling card for Xuzhou City, adding a new tourism destination in northern Jiangsu’s Huaihai region that integrates folk experience, cultural immersion, leisure entertainment, and wellness retreats. The establishment of the Ink on Paper Folk Culture Park will inject strong new momentum into Jiawang’s urban transformation and make a significant contribution to building a new type of socialist functional town.
