Attraction Introduction

Xuzhou Botanical Garden is situated on the north side of the Second Ring North Road, south of Jiuli Mountain, and east of Pingshan Road. This project includes the renovation of roads and landscaping within the original nursery, as well as the construction of a flower trading center, service center, and Greenhouse Natural Ecology Pavilion.

The botanical garden is divided into five functional zones: the Specialized Plant Garden, Tree Garden, Bonsai Garden, Ornamental Greenhouse Science Education Zone, and Flower Trading Exhibition Zone. The Specialized Plant Garden mainly showcases rosaceous plants with northern characteristics, along with several smaller gardens such as the Osmanthus Garden, Grass Garden, Cypress Garden, Colored Leaf Garden, Aquatic Plant Garden, and Medicinal Plant Garden.

Upon entering the greenhouse ecology pavilion, you’ll see many tall tropical and subtropical plants in the eastern area, including Ficus altissima, rubber fig, Alstonia scholaris, queen palm, nanyang cherry, jaboticaba, frangipani, banyan willow, and carambola... Not only are many of the tree species rarely seen here, but even their names are unfamiliar to most visitors.

The northwest side of the Greenhouse Natural Ecology Pavilion is the succulent plant area, featuring two-to-three-meter-tall Buddha’s belly trees, African baobabs, and Cereus peruvianus; shorter ones include golden star, blue columnar cactus, Notocactus, and desert rose, as well as oddly shaped plants like Euphorbia resinifera, Euphorbia cotinifolia, Euphorbia humani, and Pachypodium.
