Dàyishan Mountain is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Dàyishan Mountain is located in the northern part of Guanyun County, covering an area of 10 square kilometers. As a branch range of Mount Tai, it originated in the Archean Eon and has a history of 2 billion years. It consists of 12 peaks, with the highest reaching 226.7 meters, and is known as the "No. 1 Divine Mountain on the Northern Huai Plain." The scenic area has a rich historical background, numerous cultural sites, and beautiful natural scenery. Over 40 attractions have been developed here, including the Stone Buddha Temple and the Yishan Giant Buddha. Among them, the Yishan Giant Buddha is the largest sitting Buddha in Asia and one of the thirteen most renowned giant Buddhas in China. Dàyishan Scenic Area is now recognized as one of the top ten scenic spots in Lianyungang City, a film and television base in the city, a provincial-level forest park, and a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. It is also one of the three key scenic tourism routes in northern Jiangsu prioritized for development by the provincial government.

The new county Party committee and government have fully implemented a strategy of promoting all-for-one tourism and developing tourism as a pillar industry. They have established the theme of "Yishan, Yishui, Eden — True Feelings, Genuine Guanyun" for tourism development, and introduced special tourism products such as "admiring peach blossoms, worshipping the giant Buddha, and tasting local cuisine." As the leading scenic spot in the county, Dàyishan Scenic Area has seized this opportunity for leapfrog development and strives to play a leading role. A top-tier planning and design institute has been commissioned to develop the "Guanyun County Dàyishan Tourism Economic Zone Master Plan and Core Scenic Area Detailed Construction Plan." The area is fully implementing the "Double Ten Thousand Project," which involves planting 10,000 precious colored tree species and 10,000 high-quality ornamental flowers on the mountain. In conjunction with shantytown redevelopment, over 3,000 low-quality residential houses and nearly 7,000 tombs within the scenic area have been relocated. Significant progress has been made in smart tourism and promotional efforts. Moving forward, projects such as the Buddhist Culture Pedestrian Street, the riverside scenic belt at the foot of the mountain, the Mirror Flower Legend Cultural Town, the premium hot spring resort area, various scenic spots within the area, and the development of the northern entrance will be gradually carried out in accordance with the plan.

Dàyishan Scenic Area integrates Buddhist culture, Mirror Flower Legend culture, prehistoric culture, and natural landscapes. Its distinctive tourism resources aim to establish the area as a well-known tourist destination in East China and a national 5A-level scenic spot by 2020.
