Chaohewan Ecological Park

Chaohewan Ecological Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Chaohewan is located in Yibei Township, Guanyun County, Jiangsu Province, stretching from the southern embankment of the Xin-Yi River in the south to National Highway 204 in the north. It is 3 kilometers long with an average river width of about 180 meters and a maximum width of over 200 meters. The formation of this waterway has a long history—it is a natural river shaped by centuries of tidal erosion, forming an "S" curve, hence its name.

Adjacent to Chaohewan, the ecological park covers an area of 894 mu, including 324 mu of water surface, 370 mu of green islands and public space. It is divided into comprehensive service areas, orchard island, home island, farming island, floral and arboreal island, fishing island, water sports zone, sightseeing area, leisure area, and resort area—collectively referred to as the "four zones and six islands." With the theme of "nature, ecology, and wild charm," the park takes water-based activities as its main thread, leisure as its goal, and ecology as its foundation. It highlights local characteristics such as "staying in farmhouses, eating farm food, doing farm work, enjoying farm life, eco-tourism, and rural culture," creating a "sanctuary for the soul and a dreamy homeland" for visitors. All guests can enjoy the tranquility and comfort of returning to nature while also experiencing the relaxation and pleasure of a high-end retreat. The park has gradually developed into a comprehensive eco-resort and leisure farm integrating "dining, leisure, sightseeing, entertainment, culture, and technology," making it an ideal destination for rural tourism.
