Thousand Lotus Garden

Thousand Lotus Garden is a great place to admire lotus flowers in the Hongze Lake Wetland during summer. It gets its name from the 1,008 varieties of lotuses planted within the garden. Covering an area of 60 acres, Thousand Lotus Garden mainly consists of a lotus viewing area, a bird rescue center, and a tea break area. When summer arrives, the 1,008 types of lotuses bloom in full splendor, creating a scene reminiscent of a heavenly paradise or an earthly fairyland — breathtakingly beautiful, leaving visitors reluctant to leave. The primary purpose of the bird rescue center is to care for injured birds, which are released back into nature once they have recovered. Currently, there are over ten species of precious birds being cared for here.
