The Hongze Lake Monument is located beside the dike at the widest and most open vantage point overlooking Hongze Lake. From here, the lake stretches as far as the eye can see, blending seamlessly with the sky. The three characters for "Hongze Lake" on the monument are written in Mao Zedong's calligraphy style.
