The Former Residence of Liu Shaoqi is a cultural relic protection unit of Huai'an City.

On September 22, 1958, Liu Shaoqi, Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, accompanied by his wife Wang Guangmei, inspected water conservancy projects including the Sanhe Sluice and Gaoliangjian Sluice, and stayed here during the visit.
