Laozi Mountain South Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination.

Laozi Mountain South Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is located on Quannanshan Head in Chanan Neighborhood Committee, adjacent to Hongze Lake to the west. The cemetery was first built in the 1970s and 1980s, covering an area of 4 mu, and houses the remains of 12 local martyrs. It includes walls, a memorial wall, and a memorial monument. In February 2010, the Party Committee and government of Laozi Mountain Town responded to higher-level directives by implementing the “Martyrs’ Comfort Project,” investing 100,000 yuan to renovate and expand the cemetery. They relocated scattered martyrs’ graves into the cemetery and constructed a cement front plaza and a colored-brick rear plaza. By the end of 2013, the town government had invested 300,000 yuan to build walls and corridors and relocate non-martyrs’ graves.

A cement path runs through the center of the cemetery. On the north side of the path, towards the middle, stands a monument facing east and backed by the west. The base of the monument is 1.7 meters high, divided into four levels. The main body of the monument is 1.7 meters wide, 0.4 meters thick, and 5 meters tall, with the eight large characters “Revolutionary Martyrs Live Forever” engraved on the front. An eastern-facing memorial wall stands on the east side of the monument, measuring 3 meters in height, 4 meters in length, and 0.3 meters in thickness. The front of the wall, facing east, features Chairman Mao’s inscription in regular script: “Tens of thousands of martyrs sacrificed heroically for the interests of the people ahead of us. Let us hold high their banner and march onward on the path they bloodied!” The back of the wall uses a Mao-style calligraphy font.

A total of 14 revolutionary martyrs are buried in the cemetery, including 9 horizontal tombstones—7 individual martyr tombs, 1 tomb for three martyrs, and 1 tomb for four martyrs. The tombstones for the two joint burial tombs are inscribed with the names of the martyrs. All the horizontal tomb covers are made from high-quality black marble, engraved with inscriptions.
