The former site of Jianghuai University is a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of Jianghuai University is located on Renhe Old Street (formerly Renhe Town), Chahe Town, Hongze District, Huai'an City. Jianghuai University was a comprehensive university established during the War of Resistance Against Japan by the Central China Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the New Fourth Army Headquarters, and the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPC in the Central China Anti-Japanese Democratic Base Area. It admitted patriotic anti-Japanese youths from Shanghai to study and work in the base area. Jianghuai University persisted behind enemy lines for about two years, leaving a glorious chapter in the history of our Party and in the history of Chinese education.

Chahe Town: Chahe Town is a town under the jurisdiction of Hongze County, with eleven administrative villages, three neighborhood committees, a total population of 40,000, and a total area of 125 square kilometers, including 30 square kilometers of Baima Lake water surface and 55,000 mu of arable land.

Chahe is the third batch of national agricultural standardization demonstration zones, a national green food production base, a civilized township in Jiangsu Province, a provincial new-model demonstration small town, one of the top 100 rural towns in northern Jiangsu in comprehensive strength, a provincial pilot town for modern farmer science popularization, and an advanced township in nationwide fitness among hundreds of millions of farmers.
