Shanghai Children's Museum is a science education base.

Shanghai Children's Museum was established with support from various parties to fulfill the wish of Soong Ching Ling, "the greatest woman of the 20th century," who believed in "giving the most precious things to children." It is located in the southeast part of the Soong Ching Ling Mausoleum and officially opened to the public on May 29, 1996. The museum is composed of an Aerospace Hall, a Maritime Hall, a Toy Hall, an Exhibition Hall, an IMAX Dome Theater, and a Multi-function Hall. The square outside the museum, along with its corridors, greenery, and water features, sets off four uniquely designed buildings. It is an extracurricular activity venue that integrates educational, intellectual, scientific, and recreational elements.

Opening hours:

8:45–16:45 (last admission at 15:30), closed on Mondays (if a national holiday falls on a Monday, the museum will be closed on the first working day after the holiday).

Ticket information:

Free admission. Entry is free upon presentation of valid ID.

1. Individual visitors (with children): collect an entry ticket at the ticket pick-up counter and enter for free through the individual visitor channel.

2. Individual visitors (without children): must show a valid ID to collect an entry ticket.

3. Groups (20 or more people): please make a reservation at least 3 days in advance. On the day of the visit, present an official letter from your organization and enter for free through the group channel according to the reservation confirmation. Reservation phone: 021-62783130.

4. Seniors aged 70 and above, military personnel, and people with disabilities may receive priority ticket access upon presentation of valid ID.
