Xinqing Park is positioned as an "urban forest," with a green space ratio of 85%. Trees account for 54% of all greenery. The combination of upper-level trees, large shrubs, and lower-level small shrubs and ground cover creates an ecologically distinctive garden, allowing visitors to experience the feeling of being in a "towering forest with birds chirping melodiously."

"People-oriented" is another highlight of the Xinqing Park design. Plantings are denser along the park’s edges, forming a barrier that blocks noise and creates a tranquil, independent space within the park. The main circular path features a central landscape of cedars and lawns, offering visitors wide, open views and lush greenery. Secondary paths, combined with a variety of plants, form multifunctional spaces, making the park a great spot for leisure and recreation. Once completed, Xinqing Park will bloom with crabapple flowers in spring, silk tree blossoms in summer, osmanthus in autumn, and wintersweet in winter—offering visitors colorful floral displays all year round. Additionally, the park is planted with tree species beneficial to human health, such as those from the Magnoliaceae and Oleaceae families.
