The historic building complex of St. John's University is located at No. 1575 Wanhangdu Road. Built between 1894 and 1909, it falls under the category of important modern historical sites and representative architecture.
On April 4, 2014, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government designated and announced the St. John's University historic building complex as a Shanghai Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit (Hu Fu Fa [2014] No. 29).
