Daqing Mountain Scenic Area

Qing Mountain is located in the central part of Heilongjiang Province, at the junction of Bin County, Yanshou County, and Shangzhi City, and is part of the branch range of Zhangguangcai Mountain. It stretches from southwest to northeast, bordering the Songhua River to the north, the Ashi River valley to the west, and the Ma (Ant) River valley to the east, covering an area of 150 square kilometers. The mountain is mainly composed of volcanic rock and granite, with an average elevation of 500–700 meters. The central part has higher terrain, and the main peak reaches an elevation of 952 meters. Due to its towering and majestic ridges, winding and overlapping peaks, dense greenery, and peaks that rise boldly into the clouds, it is named “Daqing Mountain” (Great Green Mountain). After the September 18th Incident in 1931, the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army used Daqing Mountain as a natural barrier, moving through the vast forests to strike against puppet troops and Japanese invaders. Daqing Mountain is rich in resources. The forest includes secondary growth of pine, birch, poplar, and linden, while mountain produce consists of wood ear mushrooms, monkey head mushrooms, bracken fern, as well as wild medicinal herbs such as ginseng, fritillaria, and schisandra. Wildlife includes wild boar, black bear, roe deer, deer, lynx, as well as pheasants and hazel grouse. Mineral resources include copper, iron, and others.
