Houshi Mountain Scenic Area is located on the banks of the Songhua River, within Minhe Township, Bin County, approximately 25 kilometers south of Bin County’s urban area.

The mountain is named Houshi (Monkey Stone) because of a large rock on its main peak that looks like a stone monkey. Surrounded by the Songhua River on three sides, the scenic area enjoys convenient transport by both land and water. It features rich landscapes and grasslands, as well as famous temples and historic sites, making it a great spot for sightseeing, vacationing, and worship.

The Qinglian Temple, built in 1929, was grand in scale and majestic in presence, with incense lingering in the air. At the time, it was known as the “Lingyin Temple of the Northeast.” On August 6, 1998, Bin County Government officially approved it as part of the Houshi Mountain Scenic Area.
