The Hualeshan Scenic Area is located in the eastern part of Bin County, about 120 kilometers from Harbin, with a drive of approximately two hours. Along the way, you can enjoy the rural scenery of Northeast China. This is a leisure tourism destination that combines travel, relaxation, personalized participation, and a return to nature. It is the most distinctive leisure spot for suburban trips near Harbin and also the largest designated area for self-driving tours and outdoor sports in Harbin.

After arriving at Hualeshan, cross the Xiangshui Bridge to enter the scenic area and head toward the main peak, "Lingzhi Peak," which stands at an elevation of 698 meters. Along the way, you will encounter over 20 natural wonders, including the Sleeping Lion Rock, Qilin Rock, Longevity Platform, Ten Thousand Longevity Platform, Chrysanthemum Platform, and Immortal Cave. Inside the Immortal Cave, there is a naturally formed statue of the Water-Moon Guanyin that is strikingly lifelike. There are also numerous unique leisure spots and self-driving campsites set up in the woods, where visitors can take a nap in a hammock or pitch a tent and share the joy of outdoor camping with friends. On the return journey, you can take a ride down the mountain in a farm cart. The paths up and down the mountain feature suspension bridges, plum blossom piles, net bridges, and more, adding to the fun and excitement. At the foot of the mountain, visitors can admire vast, graceful birch forests, Eleutherococcus senticosus gardens, ginseng farms, and wood ear mushroom production bases. In the "Fengyuan" area, there are breeding farms for pheasants and wild boars. In the "Deer Garden" at the foot of the mountain, you can get up close with over 200 sika deer.

Here, you can experience a variety of water-based recreational challenges as well as wild activities such as catching loaches in the ponds, cold-water fishing, "stealing" chickens in the forest, venturing through wild boar woods, treasure hunting in the ginseng garden, and adventures on plum blossom piles. In the pond known as the "Little Five Great Pools," koi fish swim actively and lotus flowers bloom. Aside from fishing and relaxing, visitors can enjoy unique local dishes such as "Iron Pot Stewed Fish" and "Herbal Mountain Chicken Hotpot" in the "Fishing Platform" corridor by the pond. Throughout the mountain climb, there are multiple scenic spots paired with distinctive recreational activities, such as walking across plum blossom piles and net bridges. These elements transform the otherwise monotonous act of hiking, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the thrill of participation and the power of teamwork. Upon reaching the summit, "Lingzhi Peak," you’ll truly experience the feeling of overlooking all the lesser peaks. On the descent, you can see rare "stone chrysanthemums" and "grass waterfalls" scattered across the mountainside. Summer is the blooming season for the fiery red "stone chrysanthemums," while the "grass waterfalls" become even more stunning and majestic, creating a truly uplifting experience. The walls inside the "Immortal Cave" feature what appears to be a lifelike statue of Guanyin sitting serenely—an awe-inspiring testament to the wonders of nature. If you’re tired on the way down, a special horse-drawn cart can take you back. Along the route, you’ll also encounter a variety of uniquely shaped ancient trees and graceful birch forests, as well as multiple leisure spots and self-driving campsites nestled in the woods. There, you can rest in a hammock, pitch a camping tent, and share the joy of outdoor barbecues with friends—truly returning to nature.
