The Former Site of the CCP North Manchuria Sub-bureau is a provincial cultural heritage site in Heilongjiang and a classic destination for red tourism.

Located within the compound of the Bin County Education Bureau on Sanwei Road, Bin County, Harbin, approximately 60 kilometers from Harbin city center. It is accessible via the Tongjiang–Sanya Expressway and National Highway 221. This site is a red tourism attraction in Heilongjiang Province, a provincial patriotism education base, and a provincial-level cultural heritage site in Heilongjiang.

The site is a brick-and-tile structure, 15 meters long from east to west and 7.5 meters wide from north to south, with a total floor area of 112.5 square meters. Above the entrance is a plaque inscribed with “Former Site of the CCP North Manchuria Sub-bureau,” written by Comrade [Name]. Inside, a collection of precious revolutionary relics is preserved, including photographs and documents related to Comrade Chen Yun’s revolutionary activities, as well as his iron bed, twisted-thread quilt, office desk, corner cabinet, fireplace, and desk lamp. The CCP North Manchuria Sub-bureau was established in November 1945, with Chen Yun as its secretary, and merged into the Northeast Bureau in November 1946.

From November 1945 to April 25, 1946, Comrade Chen Yun led the CCP North Manchuria Sub-bureau and the Songjiang Military District here for six months. With extraordinary courage and wisdom, he engaged in head-on struggles against the Kuomintang. Many important documents and government orders were drafted and issued here by Comrades Chen Yun, Zhang Wentian, and others. The site was then hailed as the “Little Yan’an” of the northeast. The North Manchuria Revolutionary Base established by the CCP North Manchuria Sub-bureau made outstanding contributions to the national liberation war and the consolidation of the northeast base.

By Bus: Take a bus from Harbin to Bin County.

By Car: From Harbin, enter the Harbin Ring Expressway, drive 29.6 km, turn right toward Jiamusi/Shuangyashan/Qitaihe, continue for 480 m to enter the Harbin–Tongjiang Expressway, drive 52.5 km, then exit at Binzhou, turn right onto the ramp, drive 790 m, and then follow Yingbin Road—Jiaotong Road—Daqian Road—Chenghuang West Road for 100 m to reach the site.
