Heihe Overseas Chinese in Russia Memorial Hall

The Heihe Overseas Chinese in Russia Memorial Hall is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a patriotic education base.

The exhibits at the Heihe Overseas Chinese in Russia Memorial Hall span over 100 years, serving as a richly detailed textbook of the history of overseas Chinese in Russia and the friendly relations between China and Russia (the Soviet Union). Combining exhibition with research, it is the only memorial hall in the country that comprehensively showcases a century of China-Russia friendship. The memorial is divided into six parts: “The Days and Months of Venturing into Vladivostok and the Far East,” “Those Most Trusted by Lenin,” “Pioneers in the Pursuit of Revolutionary Truth,” “Fighting to Eradicate Fascism,” “Our Hope Is Placed on You,” and “Heihe, the Green Island of Overseas Chinese in Russia.” The total area covers more than 1,600 square meters.

Covering an area of 1,600 square meters, the Heihe Overseas Chinese in Russia Memorial Hall is divided into six parts and displays over 1,000 cultural relics and letters. The memorial hall took five years to establish, involving extensive field visits and data collection, and now stands as a comprehensive exhibition and research center with a century-long historical scope. It covers various fields including party, government, military, academia, business, culture, and the covert operations front, and is regarded as a textbook on the history of overseas Chinese in Russia and the friendly relations between China and Russia (the Soviet Union). The establishment of the memorial will also accelerate the development of Heihe’s cultural industry, and play a positive role in building Heihe into a bridgehead for Russia relations and a famous borderland cultural city, as well as in developing cultural tourism industries.
