Lao Yingpan Park

On the occasion of nationwide commemorations marking the 60th anniversary of the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War and China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the first patriotic education base in Cuiluan District—the anti-Japanese guerrilla site "Lao Yingpan"—was officially unveiled.

"Lao Yingpan" is located at the center of Lao Yingpan Park, situated between kilometers 18 and 19 on the Haying Highway in Cuiluan District. Cuiluan District is one of Heilongjiang Province’s old revolutionary bases and also served as a key military stronghold where the Third and Sixth Divisions of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army carried out resistance activities during the war. From May 1936 to October 1937, during the most challenging period of the War of Resistance, the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, led by Li Zhaolin and Feng Zhongyun, established a major base camp at the foot of Cuiluan Mountain South, known as "Lao Yingpan." It functioned as an enemy rear stronghold for the soldiers’ lodging, rest, and medical treatment of the wounded. The site also included a garment factory and supply warehouse, and the temporary headquarters of the Northern Manchuria Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party was once stationed here.
