Plum Blossom River Hunting Ground

The Yichun Plum Blossom River Hunting Ground is located in the northeastern part of Heilongjiang Province, on the southern slope of the Lesser Khingan Mountains, along the middle reaches of the Tangwang River. The site is 15 kilometers from downtown Yichun and 10 kilometers from Lindu Airport. Approved for establishment in 2006, it covers an area of 854 hectares and is the only enclosed wildlife (bred in captivity) hunting ground in Yichun City. It features the most pristine national forest park, a hunting ground, a ski resort, and a large water and ice sports base.

The wildlife found in the Plum Blossom River Hunting Ground mainly includes 21 species of mammals, over 60 species of birds, 19 species of fish, 7 species of amphibians, and 6 species of reptiles. The hunting ground breeds animals such as red deer, sika deer, wild boar, pheasants, and rabbits. It also has a uniquely styled hunter reception center and hunter camps, with facilities including guest rooms, a bar, and a barbecue area. In winter, visitors can go ice skating, make ice lanterns by hand, experience hunting and skiing in the snow, play snow football, and enjoy meals at ice and snow-themed restaurants — all showcasing the true essence of the cold winter forests and snowy landscapes of the Lesser Khingan Mountains.
