-Guanyin is a scenic spot within the Guanyin Scenic Area of Tangwanghe National Park. The Guanyin peak is composed of several large rock formations and represents a stage in the formation of a peak forest. The Guanyin peak mass, shaped by multiple sets of joints (fissures), has completely separated from the rock wall. The peak has not yet been significantly eroded by rain or flowing water, and its edges still retain sharp, vertical lines. The top surface largely preserves a horizontal “chessboard” tabletop, but weathering has sculpted the rock into the image of the Goddess of Mercy (Guanyin) holding a holy water vase and seated on a lotus pedestal—strikingly lifelike and vividly detailed.

-Beneath Guanyin lies the “Lotus Cave,” named for its location beneath the Goddess’s seat. It is about 24 meters long and was formed by rock collapse, featuring eight exits. The pool under Guanyin is also named the Lotus Pool because it is situated beneath her seat. Clay in the pool blocks rock crevices, allowing rainwater to accumulate into a small body of water—a naturally formed landform. To the right of Guanyin is a moss- and dragon beard grass-covered boulder that resembles a ruyi (scepter) and is called the “Xing’an Ruyi.”
