you will reach Jiayin Port. Its geographical coordinates are 30°32′ east longitude and 48°5′ north latitude. The corresponding port on the Russian side is the Basukovo Port in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, located 13 kilometers downstream from Jiayin Port on the northern bank of the Heilongjiang River. Jiayin Port boasts very convenient water transport conditions. At normal water levels, its dock can accommodate 3,000-ton barges, and even during the dry season, it can still handle 1,000-ton barges. Traveling upstream along the river, you can reach Heihe and Mohe; traveling downstream takes you to Tongjiang and Fuyuan, and into the Songhua and Ussuri Rivers. You can also enter Russia and reach the Sea of Japan via the Tartar Strait from the sea outlet. The port is 105 kilometers away from Tangwanghe Railway Station on the national railway, making it one of the ports along the province’s rivers that is relatively close to the national rail network.

Jiayin Port is a river port, operating vessel transport during the open-water season and ice-road transport during the frozen season. The port is divided into an office area and a dock area, covering a total area of 90,000 square meters. It features a vertical-wall type dock with an annual throughput capacity of 100,000 tons, a joint inspection hall spanning 1,800 square meters, as well as cargo yards, storage facilities, vehicle inspection areas, parking lots, and more.

Passenger entry and exit as well as cargo import and export are managed through a networked system. Jiayin Port launched its Russia-bound tourism services in 1992. From Jiayin Port, you can embark on a three-day tour to Birobidzhan City in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast; a four-day tour to Khabarovsk, the regional capital; a five-day tour to Vladivostok; or a nine-day tour to Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Jiayin Port serves as a window of opening-up. People on both sides of the border engage in exchanges, cooperation, and emotional bonding through this port. Administrative officials from Birobidzhan City and the Obluchensky District of Russia have led multiple delegations to Jiayin for sightseeing and to participate in various celebratory events. Cultural groups from both sides also engage in cultural exchanges, mutual performances, and visits, making the port a vital link and bridge connecting the people on both shores. At the same time, thanks to its complete facilities and comprehensive functions, with continuous traffic of vehicles and boats, it has also become an excellent destination for tourism and sightseeing.
