Ding Ling Exhibition Hall — Ding Ling was an outstanding female writer who made an impact during the New Culture Movement and is a typical figure in the pursuit of women's liberation. In her youth, she became acquainted with Lu Xun, Qu Qiubai, and Feng Xuefeng, which marked the beginning of her literary journey. In the Kuomintang-controlled areas, she worked with Hu Yepin, Shen Congwen, and others to publish progressive publications and participated in the revolutionary literary activities of the "Left-Wing Writers' League". Later, she threw herself into the revolutionary tide of the liberated areas, and Comrade Mao Zedong once wrote a poem praising her as "Yesterday a literary lady, today a general in arms." Ding Ling, a distinguished female figure in modern Chinese literary circles, was deeply involved in the major upheavals of Chinese society. As she herself said, "My life has been full of ups and downs." The changing tides of the era intertwined with the rises and falls of her fate; she contributed to history but also endured personal sacrifices.

Ding Ling was born in 1904 in Linli, Hunan. In 1958, she suffered an unjust accusation, was labeled a rightist, and came to Baoquanling Farm in Hegang City, located in China’s far north, together with Chen Ming, where she endured severe trials. After the Third Plenary Session of the 12th Central Committee in 1979, the Party Central Committee rehabilitated her, clearing her name and restoring her reputation. Ding Ling passed away in Beijing in 1986 at the age of 82.
