The beautiful and fertile Habei Forestry Bureau is located at the southeastern foot of the Lesser Khingan Mountains in the northeast of Heilongjiang Province. The Habei forest area boasts vast territory and abundant resources, with pristine natural landscapes. Within the forest area, there are three major river systems: the Wutong River, Jiayin River, and Dulu River, among which the Wutong River is the most renowned and is often referred to as the mother river of Habei. On August 1, 2003, the inaugural rafting event on the Habei Wutong River was held at Xiangyang Forest Farm of the Habei Forestry Bureau. The rafting starting point is at Xiangyang Forest Farm, with the full course spanning 8 kilometers and taking approximately 1.5 hours. The Wutong River rafting section features a mix of straight and winding stretches, with varying waterfalls, depths, and natural clear waters. The picturesque scenery along both banks makes the experience both thrilling and safe, highly favored by rafting enthusiasts.
