Wangyunfeng Ski Resort

Wangyunfeng Ski Resort is situated in the Damahe Forest Farm, 45 kilometers north of Luobei County, at an elevation of 777 meters. The slope is 2,800 meters long with an average gradient of around 19 degrees, a maximum of 32 degrees, and a minimum of 15 degrees. The ski resort was jointly surveyed over three years by the Snow and Ice Department of the State Physical Culture and Sports Commission and the Provincial Sports Commission, and was completed in 1987. It offers a range of skiing events including ski jumping, giant slalom, slalom, downhill skiing, and cross-country skiing. In 1987, the resort hosted the Provincial Youth Alpine Giant Slalom Competition and has trained many renowned skiers for China.

The ski resort was first built in the early 1980s, meeting international skiing competition standards and requirements. In the mid-1980s, it hosted multiple national-level events here, nurturing and producing a large number of outstanding skiers and coaches. Luobei athletes alone have won more than ten national awards here, earning Luobei the reputation as the "Cradle of Winter Sports Champions."
