Xinglong Canyon is located in the middle section of Longjiang Three Gorges National Forest Park, stretching 3,850 meters in length with the highest elevation at 400 meters. It starts from the summit of Guntuling and ends at the entrance of the canyon road leading to the Heilongjiang River. Standing on the ancient battlefield, one can envision General Guntu’er, with the sight of continuous beacon fires and the sounds of war horns and drums echoing in the ears, amidst the glint of snow under the cold light and the rising flags at dawn. A young scholar lays down his pen — and volunteers for the campaign. The golden tide of Dugu surges, waves crash along the Heilongjiang, timeless landscapes stir boundless heroism.

The canyon road winds and undulates, full of rises and falls. Observe the forest: towering ancient trees drip with verdant greenery; pristine vegetation bursts with wild charm; lush grass by the stream vies for attention cheerfully; floral scents drift with the breeze; at times the space opens up with flowers blooming everywhere; at others it narrows where mice and rabbits dart along their paths; birds linger among blossoms, wild boars frolic near the “dragon”; butterflies dance in competition, deer and roe deer move about; near the water, there are three pools, five waterfalls, and ten springs surrounded by beautiful rocks; secluded paths lead to tranquil spots, with murmuring streams flowing gently; a handful of mountain spring water brings refreshing coolness; subtle sweetness lingers, leaving endless aftertaste; listen: birds circle the woods, singing softly on their own; the sounds of nature are light and enter the ears gently; strange calls from the mountain stream fade away slowly; for adventure, scale sheer cliffs in extreme rock climbing challenges; an aerobic workout that promotes longevity and health; advance hand in hand, helping each other along the way; soar across high-altitude zip lines, thrilling the heart and soul; for blessings, the dragon’s claw presses to the ground, attracting treasure and wealth; strike the ancient bell, inviting blessings for life.

The Xinglong Canyon Underground Forest Oxygen Bar is a serene attraction within Heilongjiang Three Gorges Forest Park. It is a mountain hiking trail opened in 2007. Originally called “Caijin Yidao Gou” (Gold Mining Gully), Xinglong Canyon is also known as Xinglong Canyon Mountain due to its location on the foothills of the Lesser Khingan Range and beside the Heilongjiang River. The mountain is covered in dense forests and shrouded in clouds and mist. From the mountaintop, white clouds float beneath your feet, swirling through the hills, making you feel as if you are in the sky or dwelling in a fairyland — an indescribably wonderful experience.

The area here preserves well-preserved primitive ecology, with over 300 species of trees alone, encompassing nearly all varieties found in the northeastern mountainous region. Moreover, the air in the canyon is fresh, with oxygen levels more than 50 times that of urban areas and high concentrations of negative ions, making it a highly valuable forest oxygen bar.
