Jiangshan Ecological Resort has over 200,000 wild deciduous trees such as bird cherries, and more than 80,000 wild deciduous shrubs like weigela. It also features 4 hectares of mulberry forests, 18 hectares of planted poplar and willow woods, over 200 hectares of natural sand dunes and wetlands. Currently, the area is home to more than 10 types of wild animals including badgers, foxes, hares, and pheasants, as well as over 50 species of migratory birds such as wild geese, grey cranes, and mallards. There are also over 20 types of medicinal herbs such as byfeng and mountain corn, and more than 10 types of wild vegetables like mugwort sprouts and daylilies.

The resort produces its own natural green food. Two restaurants can accommodate up to 2,000 diners at the same time. There are 60 guest rooms for 2, 3, or 4 people, able to host 180 guests in one go. All rooms are equipped with cable TV, and some have air conditioning. The conference room can hold 150 people, making it an ideal destination for travel, vacation, and meetings.

Lotus Viewing by the Clear Water: The largest lotus pond in Jilin Province, the Green Lotus Pond, is located within the resort, covering a total area of 2.5 hectares. Sitting in the ancient pavilion in the middle of the pond, with a cup of tea and a few old friends, enjoying thousands of lotus flowers in the blue waves is truly a delightful experience.

Fishing by the Pond: The resort has 10 artificially stocked fishing ponds, with a total fishing area of 10 hectares. The ponds are home to dozens of species of freshwater fish, with the largest ones weighing over 10 jin (5 kg). The resort regularly holds fishing competitions, where the winners can enjoy a free fish feast. While relaxing, you can also test your skills and fully experience the joy of fishing.

Wild Cuisine Tasting: Green ecology is the main highlight of the resort. Dishes include river fish stewed in river water, wild vegetables, farm-style meals, seasonal fresh fruits, and self-service barbecues. Guests can also join bonfire parties and share a whole roasted lamb by the fire. Surrounded by mountains and near the water, you can experience unique rural flavors here.

Pontoon Bridge Over the Marsh: This bridge is located on the way from the resort to the Songhua River, is 200 meters long and about 2 meters wide. The bridge is made of sleepers and steel cables anchored on both banks. The entire pontoon bridge is completely suspended over a marsh. Walking on the swaying bridge above the eerie swamp is sure to give you a unique sensation.

Cruising on the Songhua: The resort offers 2 speedboats and 10 small boats for visitors to sightsee on the Songhua River. Whether you choose speed and excitement or tranquility and leisure, it’s all up to your mood.

Mulberry Picking in the Grove: The resort has a 4-hectare mulberry grove, unique to Jilin Province. Every June and July, when the mulberries ripen, they hang from the branches like emeralds. With their sweet and sour taste, they are as pleasing to the eye as to the palate—truly a feast for all senses.

Gathering Wild Vegetables in the Countryside: The resort’s wildlife resources are well-preserved, forming a natural park. Strolling along tree-lined paths, admiring lush pines and cypresses, listening to birdsong and floral scents, and picking wild country vegetables all add to the charm.

Watching the Sunrise from the Iron Bridge: Not far from the resort, across the Songhua River, stands a railway bridge that spans the river. This bridge was built by Russians in the late Qing Dynasty. Made of iron, it is about 100 meters long and 20 meters above the water. Though it no longer carries trains, its rusted surface tells the story of a century of history. Leaning on the railing, you can watch the sunrise in the morning and the setting sun in the evening. Gazing at the ceaselessly flowing river may stir a sense of historical reflection.

Digging for Clams in the Mud: The silt by the Songhua River contains various wild shellfish, commonly known as clams. Their meat is tender and delicious. With exceptional “footwork” and enough patience, you’re sure to find a rewarding catch.

Soothing Feet in River Sand: The naturally formed fine sandy beach by the Songhua River is soft and warm. Walking barefoot on it, letting the sand soothe your feet, is a wonderful way to feel nature’s care.
