Dayuejin Reservoir

Dayuejin Reservoir is located in the eastern part of Dehui City, within the Mudong Flood Area, at the junction of three villages—Chalukou, Wutai, and Chaoyang. The reservoir was constructed starting in August 1958 and completed in December 1959. Primarily designed for flood control and waterlogging prevention, it intercepts and regulates the flow of rivers such as the Changtai River, Shuanglong River, and Fangshenggou, with a catchment area of 171 square kilometers. It protects downstream arable land covering 90,000 mu and a population of 31,000.

The reservoir is designed to withstand a 50-year flood event with a 100-year check standard. It has a total designed storage capacity of 15.19 million cubic meters, with a dam stretching a total length of 38 kilometers. It is divided into three sections: First, Second, and Third Reservoirs, between which four flood-regulating sluices are installed to allow mutual regulation and joint operation. Since its construction, the reservoir has played a significant role in flood control and waterlogging prevention.
