Liuhe County Museum

Introduction to Liuhe County Museum:

With the continuous development of cultural heritage undertakings, the protection of cultural relics in our county has rapidly advanced. The county now has 2 national key cultural relic protection units, 8 provincial-level cultural relic protection units, and 10 county-level cultural relic protection units. In recent years, a large number of historical relics have been unearthed through archaeological excavations at Luotong Mountain Fortress; the third national cultural relics census also discovered a new batch of relics. Therefore, in order to improve the construction of the public cultural system, enhance the exhibition role of cultural relics, fully leverage the functions of cultural relics and cultural heritage work, and provide cultural services for Liuhe’s economic construction and social development, the People’s Government of Liuhe County decided to establish the Liuhe County Museum. The museum is managed by the County Cultural Relics Management Office and is affiliated with the Liuhe County Culture, News Publishing, and Sports Bureau. The original staffing, personnel structure, and funding model remain unchanged.

In June 2009, the county government repurposed an idle 1,000㎡ building into the Liuhe County Museum by reallocating internal resources, and installed display facilities and exhibition equipment. The exhibition halls and storage rooms have been equipped with infrared alarm monitoring devices and fire safety facilities, and the interior decoration and exhibition arrangement are currently underway.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of New China, a series of events will be held during the National Day period, including a large-scale photo exhibition commemorating the 60th anniversary of the founding of Liuhe County and a major calligraphy and painting exhibition marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of New China in Liuhe County.
