The Site of the Chengqianglazi Meeting is located in Chengqianglazi, Xinhua Village, Huayuankou Town, Jingyu County. In February 1932, Yang Jingyu led the Independent Division of the First Army of the Northeast People's Revolutionary Army (the predecessor of the First Route Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army) along with 16 other anti-Japanese armed forces to hold a meeting of unit leaders at Chengqianglazi in Xinhua Village, Huayuankou Town, Jingyu County. Known historically as the “Chengqianglazi Meeting,” this event led to the establishment of the first anti-Japanese united front organization in the Northeast—the “Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army General Command.” A proclamation was issued by the General Command, uniting numerous anti-Japanese forces in the southern Manchuria region, including volunteer armies, under the leadership of the Independent Division of the First People's Revolutionary Army. This move firmly placed the leadership of the anti-Japanese struggle in the hands of our Party and army. It marked a new high in the Party-led armed resistance against Japan in the Northeast and represented a turning point that propelled the anti-Japanese war in the region into a deeper phase.
